ROB KARDASHIAN I"M IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH BLAC CHYNA

rob-kardashian-blac-chyna-

Rob Kardashian isn’t using Blac Chyna because she has a sofa to sleep on … he’s in a relationship with her.

Sources connected to Rob and Chyna tell us, Rob has been happier in the last few weeks than he’s been in years. He says Chyna has given him something that has been missing from his life for a long time … the capacity to have fun. He also says Chyna motivates him.

We’re told Chyna hasn’t had to force him to leave the house with her … it’s been his idea to get out and go places, including the gym.

Our sources say Rob is NOT in the relationship with Chyna to spite his family … as one source put it, “He adores her.”

As for the future … Rob is staying with Chyna indefinitely and has no plans to move back to Khloe’s mansion. We’re told she and other members of her family have made it clear in texts and other messages … they’re beyond pissed at him for taking up with an enemy of the sisters.

One final thing. A source close to Kim tells us she’s come around, and believes if Rob is truly happy and healthy with Chyna … then more power to him.

As can be recalled, Wisa at last years, annual Citi FM organised December2Remember concert, took out his manhood from his pants and rubbed it on the backside of his female dancer in the full glare of the audience during his performance.

He was castigated by the public for his behaviour and he has since been charged for court.

In an interview on The Red Carpet show on Multi TV, “Sweetie Pie” hit maker and member of The High-Grade Family, Kofi Kinaata indicated that Wisa was just overjoyed by the reception of the fans and he got carried away. He therefore asked the public not to blame the artiste.

Sometimes the reception you get from fans can make you go to the extreme. The brother was overwhelmed to the extent that he forgot himself at that moment and did that.”

Here’s Why Delay Can’t “Speak English”

delay

Radio, television personality and entrepreneur, Deloris Frimpong Manso a.k.a Delay is known for her fluency in the local dialect, Akan/twi.

This often projects her as someone who has difficulty in speaking the queens’ language but the outspoken woman says that notion is misplaced.

According to her, she sees no sense in parading herself as an “English woman” when she has bills to pay.

“I don’t speak English or use English because, it does not bring money into my pocket. English does nothing for me.

“It is not that I did not study it, I did but it’s just a personal choice not to use it or speak it,” she said while interviewing web skit breakout star Kalybos in an episode of her Delay Show.

The Delay Show has hosted almost all of Ghana’s biggest celebrities.

2face Idibia Finally Reacts To Blackface’s Song Theft Allegations

blackface 2face

Last week Blackface, whose real name is Ahmedu Obiabo accused former friend and band mate 2face Idibia of stealing songs from him. He took to Twitter to make the accusations, and even promised legal action against him. Prior to this, he also accused Wizkid of stealing the mega hit song Ojuelegbafrom him

People were of the opinion that it was just a cheap publicity stunt and Paul Okoye of Psquare voiced. Blackface clapped back and accused him of also being a copy cat.

2face has been silent on his former team mate’s accusation until recently when he spoke with Channels Tv. The pop star said he initially thought that Blackface’s Twitter account was hacked.

He said: It is just so unfortunate. I do not know where it is coming from (but) I am trying to think of different reasons”

But 2baba, as he is called nowadays  says he still has love and respect for his fellow Plantashun Boyz member and is determined to see the issue trashed out.

“We will trash the whole matter but I got nothing but love and respect for him and it is just so unfortunate that he is coming at me like that.”

The Plantashun Boiz which was made up of 2face, Blackface and Faze split in 2004, and so far Blackface has had the least success in his career.

Pneumococcal Meningitis: Public Information

The brain and the spinal cord are protected by a fluid called Cerebrospinal fluid. The medics call it CSF. This fluid, which bathes the brain and spinal cord, protecting them from trauma and injury, is an important protection system for your brain and spine. The fluid is encased in amembrane called the Meninges.

Meningitis is basically a disease that causes the meningesmembrane to be inflamed. There are many different causes of Meningitis. The more common ones are viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. The less common causes are cancer, brain surgery and head injuries.

The type of meningitis that has been detected in the Brong Ahafo, Northern and Ashanti Regions is Pneumococcal Meningitis. This type is caused by bacteria called the Pneumococcus. This is a bacteria that lives in the back of the throat. It can be passed from person to person through tiny droplets of fluid from a person’s mouth or throat or nose. The commonest means of transmission are through kissing or sharing cutlery, chewing gum, straws, lipstick and the likes.

The interesting thing about this Pneumococcus bacteria is that most of us already have it in our system.

But 80% of the time, the bacteria remains dormant. The worst it will normally do is to cause other illnesses like ear infections, sinus infections or pneumonia.

Pneumococcal Meningitis sy

But in about 20% of cases, the bacteria causes an infection that travels throughthe blood and breach the meninges membrane to infect the cerebrospinal fluid. Once the bacterium enters the CSF, it starts to multiply freely, releasing poisons into the fluid, the brain and the surrounding meninges membrane. That’s when the real problems begin.

The infection causes the meninges membrane to swell. It can also cause inflammation of the blood vessels in the brain.  At this point, you would start to experience symptoms like headaches, stiff neck, fever, vomiting, rash, confusion, drowsiness chills, cough, chest pains, and an immediate dislike for bright light. In infants, the fontanels the soft spots on the top of the skull – may be bulging visibly. These symptoms typically become visible one to three days after infection, but it could be quicker. It is important that you consult a doctor immediately you start experiencing several of these symptoms together.

Pneumococcal Meningitis signs

Now, it is important not to panic. Even though it can be transmitted from one person to another, the Pneumococcus bacteria usually pose no threat to a healthy person. It is those with certain pre-existing conditions like alcohol abuse, recent ear or upper respiratory infections, pneumonia, diabetes or complications with their spleen, who stand a higher risk of developing Meningitis from the bacteria.

As we have witnessed in Ghana, Pneumococcal Meningitis can cause death (typically one in every five cases), and it must be noted that about half of the survivors do end up with complications like deafness, paralysis, learning disabilities and brain damage, but the Meningitis itself is very much treatable with antibiotics.

The earlier you start treatment, the better your chances of beating it. It is also a preventable disease; there are vaccines available for infants and some adults under certain conditions. Your doctor will be able to tell you whether you are eligible for any of the available vaccines.

There are many simple ways to avoid catching Pneumococcal Meningitis. As long as you avoid exposure to any nasal, mouth or throat fluids from an infected person, you should be fine. But remember, many of us already have the bacteria, and in four out of five us, it remains completely dormant and harmless. There is no need to stop kissing your perfectly healthy wives, husbands, partners etc. It is exposure to sick people or people whose health status is unknown, that you must be careful about. And since I’m sure you already take due care, I’m sure you will all be fine.

If you do experience any of the symptoms I mentioned earlier – headaches, stiff neck, fever, vomiting, rash, confusion, drowsiness chills, cough, chest pains, and an immediate dislike for bright light – please avoid exposing others to your nose, throat and mouth fluids. Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and see your doctor immediately.

Again, there is no need to panic whatsoever. Meningitis is avoidable, and treatable. Just take care of yourselves, and each other.

Shatta Wale may face indefinite ban from Ghana Music Awards

shatta-wale-unto-me-

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. popularly known as Shatta Wale may be in for some very bad news. It looks like organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse may blacklist the artist and impose an indefinite ban on the artist from participating in their award scheme.

Live FM Ghana Reports

Dancehall Musician Shatta Wale is likely to face an indefinite ban by organizers of the Ghana Music Awards.

Livefmghana.com sources say a decision has been reached and should be communicated to the artiste and general public.

“They must have taken a decision by now so I am sure they will get to tell us something in hours or in the next few days, ” a source, who was once active in Ghana’s music space and has years of industry expertise said Tuesday.

The ‘Kakai’ hitmaker a couple of years ago warned the awards scheme against nominating any of his works. On the night of the show last year, he headlined a concert at La beach, supported by Sarkodie.

Even though Shatta Wale had a good year in 2015, there has been a lot of debate as to whether he should be awarded by the music body he called all sorts of derogatory names.

Shatta Wale’s disagreement with Charterhouse started when he lost out on a dancehall category award to Kaakie in 2013. He later attacked both the company and Kaakie, later recording a song in which he claimed he didn’t need any award.

I’ve Not Regretted Campaigning For NPP But… – Great Ampong

isaiah-kwadwo-ampongGreat Ampong

The 2012 general election which President Mahama emerged winner saw many Ghanaian celebrities campaigning for the liberal democratic and liberal conservative party, New Patriotic Party.

Gospel musician Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong who worked in an organized and active way towards the goals of NPP to canvas votes for the party has disclosed that he did not demand any amount as a price for his service rendered.

The award-winning musician speaking to DJ Roar on Kessben FM in Kumasi said he joined the campaign train of the opposition party due to their policies. According to Great Ampong, the death of his father stopped him from attending Senior High School so he accepted to support NPP flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo due to his free senior high school policy.

When asked if he will continue to campaign for NPP during this year’s general election, the “Akokofunu” singer answered that he has not regretted campaigning for NPP but he will help in spreading the message of any party whose policy will help Ghana and his children. He further added that he is not a card bearing member of any political party so he is free to campaign for any party.

SAD: Why Stonebwoy walked off stage at Live FM launch + Video

Stonebwoy-stage-300x256

Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste of repute, Stonebwoy, had to walk off stage during his performance at the recently held Live FM grand launch.

According to reports, the BET award winner had to walk off the stage in the course of his thrilling and rocking the crowd to the best of tunes. While performing his hit single, ‘Go higher’ a guy from the crowd just jumped onto the stage, and started mimicking the way Stonebwoy walks in the full glare of patrons.

Surprisingly, organisers of the event did not ask the intruder to leave the stage as he kept on mimicking the way Stonebwoy walks. Eventually, Stonebwoy decided to respectfully walk off the stage.

It is open knowledge that Stonebwoy is a little handicapped in his walking as a result of an accident he encountered some years ago. He has come out to talk about it on several platforms, explaining how metals had to be fixed in his leg to enable him walk again.

Days after the event, Stonebwoy is yet to receive any apology from the intruder and the organisers.

Lamar Odom has a new lease on life … in Calabasas, thanks to estranged wife Khloe Kardashian.

We’ve learned Khloe has leased a home for Lamar just blocks from her home in The Oaks, an exclusive gated community. Our Kardashian sources say Khloe’s name is on the lease, which makes sense. Lamar is still in no position to sign contracts.

Although Lamar is not living with Khloe, they are spending time together. He was spotted at her home Monday and looked good.

Khloe has vowed to stick by Lamar during his rehab after his near-fatal OD, and she’s clearly staying true to her word.

Allison Williams Reveals Hubby Proposed to Her During a Bachelor Viewing Party

allison-williams-c

The Bachelor holds a very special place in Allison Williams‘ heart. And it’s not just because this show is addicting as hell (all the drama, tears, entertainment…what else could you ask for in a show?!).

The actress was a special guest tonight during Chris Harrison‘s Bachelor Live after show, and revealed that she not only met hubby Ricky Van Veen at a Bachelor viewing party, but he also proposed during a viewing party of the hit ABC show, too!

“I would not be married to my husband if it weren’t for this show. We went to a weekly viewing party every week, and it was like a big group date, but with both genders equally distributed…it was how we met up,” Williams began, which drew Harrison to mention that Veen actually popped the question during one of these viewing parties.

“So where the viewing party is, is at my friend Lee Eisenberg‘s house…and he has a couch where we always watch the show, and that’s where Ricky proposed to me, was on Lee Eisenberg’s couch.”

Was there a rose involved?! We’re going to assume yes.

The Girls star married her longtime boyfriend in a ranch wedding out West back in September. The beautiful bride walked down the aisle wearing a handmade couture gown by the one and only Oscar de la Renta.

The pair’s nuptials had a star-studded guest list, with Katy Perry, John Mayer,Bruce Springsteen, Andy Cohen, Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson and Lena Dunham in attendance before Sunday’s Emmy awards. E! News can confirm Mindy Kailing and Girls co-star Jemima Kirke also attended.

Williams’ rep confirmed her engagement to the CollegeHumor co-founder in February 2014.

Lena Dunham On Hollywood Diversity: "We Have a Serious Problem"

Lena-Dunham-Sundance-

Lena Dunham is the latest celeb to blast Hollywood for its diversity problem.

The Girls creator says all the studios need to do is take a look at the “incredibly talented and diverse voices” at the Sundance Film Festival.

“If the studio system is ignoring these voices then we have a very serious problem and they are and the fact is this dialogue and the promises that the Academy has made is the beginning of shifting that, but what really needs to happens is that people need to take notice and give resources to these voices,” Dunham just told me at the Sundance premiere of Suited, her new HBO documentary about the Bindle and Keep tailoring company that designs for people across the entire gender spectrum.

“The idea that there aren’t enough diverse filmmakers or there aren’t enough woman filmmakers to give jobs to, it’s simply a fallacy and I know that because I’m here and I’m seeing the movies,” she said.

Dunham’s producing partner Jenni Konner added, “Television is really proof of that. Television is really starting to show diversity and so the film business has to follow. They have no choice.”

Hollywood’s diversity issue has been a hot topic at Sundance.

Spike Lee told me yesterday that he will continue to boycott this year’s Oscars.

Even so, he praised Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs for her swift action to try to diversify the organization’s membership.

“I really think all the discussion is good because it’s been the elephant in the room,” he said. “Now, let’s put everything out on the table. Let’s put it out there and discuss it.”

Official: Christian Atsu joins Malaga on loan

Christian-Atsu-sign-300x245

Ghana winger Christian Atsu has joined Spanish La Liga side Malaga on loan till the end of the season.

This follows an unsuccessful spell at Bournemouth in the English Premier League where he failed to make a league appearance.

Atsu was expected to sign for bottom placed Levante after he granted an interview with the BBC  where he all but confirmed his move to the Spanish side.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, he ended up signing for the Eastern Andalusian club

Atsu is expected  to be an integral member of Javi Garcia’s squad as the former Porto man is set to fill the void left by Dutch winger Nordin Amrabat who departed for Watford in this transfer window.

Atsu joined Chelsea in the summer of 2013 and has already spent time at Everton and Dutch side Vitesse Arnhemon loan.

The former Porto winger has 42 caps for Ghana and has two more years to run  on his Chelsea contract.

This will be the fourth European league Atsu will be playing in after the Portugese Primeira Liga, Dutch Eredivisie and English Premier League.

Shot and Paralysed: How 29-year-old pregnant woman survived shooting – Photos

Shot-and-Paralysed-5-300x199

A 29-year-old woman is now bed-ridden after surviving a mysterious shooting while she was seven months pregnant, it has been reported. Her baby was also delivered prematurely via caesarean section.

Accra-based Joy FM reported Monday that the woman, Benita Dankwa, woke up on the morning of August 8, 2015 at about 5:30 am only to discover that there was a “hole” on her chest and another one at her back.

Her husband, Effort Dankwa, 34, and some neighbours took her to the hospital where she soon found out that she had been shot.

Benita Dankwa is now lying helplessly on the hospital bed, paralysed from her chest downwards, the report noted.

Benita Danquah

The Joy FM report said: “Apart from her hands and head, the Benita Dankwa on the hospital bed cannot move any part of her body. Those parts don’t belong to her any longer, or rather, they do but she has lost control over them. She cannot feel any sensation there.”

“The Benita Dankwa on the hospital bed cannot pass out urine. She cannot empty her bowels. A urinary catheter is attached to her urinary tract. It is emptied periodically by her 54-year old mother, Mrs. Agnes Yirenkyi, or anyone who is present when it is full. Benita also wears diapers to contain the involuntary discharge of faecal matter. That’s not all the woes of the woman on the hospital bed.

“When Benita lifts the cloth covering the lower part of her body, huge plasters covering her bedsores are exposed. She has large bedsores on her buttocks and on her hips. The Benita Dankwa on the hospital bed has swollen feet. She is bedridden. And she needs someone to bathe her and turn her from time to time to enable the bedsoresheal.”

It added: “The woman on the hospital bed is also anaemic. Doctors at the Tema General Hospital say her hemoglobin (blood) level is 6.1, half what it is supposed to be. The ideal level is 12. Hers dropped to 4 and has risen to 6.1 through medication. The low hemoglobin level hampers the healing of her sores. She also stands the risk of a heart attack because of her low blood level.”

Shot and Paralysed 6

Suspect
The report noted that investigations by the Tema Community 11 police “revealed that the victim (Benita Dankwa) was shot from a close range at her chest and the bullet penetrated through her body and was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but no point of penetration or breakage into the couple’s room was detected.”

“A live ammunition believed to have been shot from a pistol at close range was found about 2 inches deep in the mattress [on] which the couple were lying. Blood stains believed to be human blood was also found on the bed sheetand the mattress of the couple,” the report added.

To this end, the police suspect that Benita was shot by her husband, Effort Dankwa.

Shot and Paralysed 7

“For now, fingers are pointing to a certain direction, but because investigations are still ongoing we cannot confirm. But then, questions are coming up and answers are coming up,” Tema Region Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Juliana Obeng, was quoted as saying by Myjoyonline.com.

“The question now is: who did it?” ASP Juliana Obeng asked. “Let me give you an example: If I were with you alone in the house and I wake up to have some injuries on my body and I find some other things in the room that have to do with blood stains and there are no other persons in the room, and nobody came to the room, then your guess is as good as mine.”

The police PRO, however, says they cannot draw a conclusion now.

Benita’s father, Mr. S.O.S Yirenkyi, suspects that his son-in-law shot his daughter, especially because, Effort Dankwa failed to report the shooting to the police.

“If you are with your wife in the room and you wake up to find out that she has been shot, should you not be the first to report to the police?” the 68-year-old was quoted as saying my Myjoyonline.com.

Loverboy remanded for defrauding women desperate for marriage

Loverboy-300x239

The Suhum Magistrate Court presided over by Her Worship Naomi Anyah on Monday remanded a 43-year-old native of Kwahu-Abetifi into police custody for allegedly defrauding 10 women desperate for husband.

Stephen Gyamfi, who is to reappear in court on 4th February, 2016, is alleged to have taken money from these women under the pretext of marrying them.

The suspect was arrested on 21st January, 2016 at Zebila in the Upper East Region upon a tipoff.

A female teacher in Suhum is said to have reported to the police that the suspect has defrauded her to the tune of GH¢ 50,268.

Supt. Muchiraru Yahaya, the Suhum Municipal Police Commander, said upon interrogation, it was revealed that the suspect has defrauded about ten desperate women who want to get married.

According to Supt. Muchiraru, the lady took loans from banks and gave to the man to enable him clear some cars from the harbour. The amount she took summed up to her four years salary.

Supt. Yahaya said the man confessed that he uses marriage to swindle unsuspecting women, something he has been doing for the past 10 years.

The police noted that after studying a woman who is advancing in age and is desperate to be married off, Stephen Gyamfi will lure her by presenting himself as someone who just returned from abroad and need support to clear his cars and other goods from the port.

Sad : Charles Okocha’s Stomach Bursts After Surgery

Charles Okocha

Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha is about the luckiest person on earth, and very grateful to James Louis Okoye, an event manager and chief executive of Jalou Events Limited, who twice helped to save his life.

Okocha’s incredible run of good luck began on December 27, when a drunken policeman pumped a fusillade of bullets from an AK47 rifle into his stomach at a traditional wedding ceremony, held in Uruagu, Nnewi, Anambra State. The hail of bullets also hit another person, Sam Belonwu Dim, a Lagos-based businessman, who died on the spot.

Doctors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, Anambra State performed surgery on him, but the stomach later burst, allegedly because the wrong surgical material was used. But the prompt and cool-headed reaction of Okoye in the hospital once again saved the actor’s life.

The twice lucky actor is now recuperating following the corrective surgery that was still done at NAUTH, though the tertiary hospital debunked the allegation of improper handling of the case.

Okoye, who mobilized other people to save the actor’s life, recounted to Sunday Sun reporter what transpired on the fateful day: “I am not just worried but I’m mad about what happened as we tried to save Okocha’s life. I was at Danduko’s house on December 27, 2015 for the traditional wedding of his daughter. What really happened was that the trigger-happy police officer saw an actor he recognized and in excitement he said, ‘Look at this my guy, let me throw one in air for him (meaning to give him gun salute).’ As some people said, he was drunk and apparently forgot that he had previously set the gun on rapid fire. His intention was to fire one shot into the air. He pulled the trigger, but could not control the gun again because up to eight or nine bullets flew out. The bullets hit two people, Sam Belonwu Dim and Charles Okocha. But I didn’t see the other guy (Sam) and there was a noise at the other end.

“When I rushed out of Danduko’s compound, I saw Charles Okocha lying helplessly on the ground. People started shouting, ‘Hey, ewoo, it is that actor oo.’ Some people even brought out their camera phones and started taking pictures of him without doing anything to save his life. Here was somebody who was dying and needed help. I shouted at them. So many cars that were parked outside blocked the way. My own car was parked at a primary school some metres away from the scene of the incident. Okocha’s intestines were already coming out, but he was strong enough to hold them.”

Okoye immediately got some people to help him carry the actor to the primary school where his car was parked. Continuing the tale, he said: “With two other guys accompanying me, we sped to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi. But what we experienced was a nightmare. Okocha was crying, ‘Please help me, I don’t want to die, Jesus help me.’

At the hospital, the conduct of the nurses and doctors was so annoying. The other people who helped to bring the actor to the hospital were angry and started shouting at the medical personnel. I told my friends that making trouble or even shouting at them could make our friend Charles to die unattended to. I had to beg the nurses and all that. They were just telling us, go here, go there, sign for this, sign for that. I was obediently doing all that even faster than they expected.

“It was over two hours and thirty minutes before the doctor that was to conduct the surgery came. Then I was told to go and sign approval for transfusion of blood. I told them to check if my blood could match his, and said that I was willing to donate blood to save his life. They said it would take longer time, that they already had blood in their bank. But they said what they had in their blood bank would have to pass through test one, two and three for HIV/AIDS. They said they were waiting to do the last one. For the fact that the case was urgent, they said that if I had no objections, I could sign that I approved for them to use the one they were not very sure of being HIV free. They said they are waiting for the last confirmatory test that the blood was HIV-free.

“At this point I said to myself, between this guy dying now and dying many years later for HIV/AIDS if at all the blood will be HIV positive, that the option is to save his life now. Today HIV positive patients sometimes live longer than those who do not contract it. It can now be controlled. But that will not be the portion of my friend, Charles Okocha. When I went to the person managing the blood bank, she said: “Ahha what can I do for you and she continued eating her food. She expected me to wait for her to finish eating when someone was dying. But when she saw my red eyes, she dropped the food and covered it to attend to me.”

After the issue of blood transfusion was settled, Okoye said that the simple act of moving the patient from the emergency ward to the theatre by the two female porters became another hindrance to the effort to save the actor, as he said that they were very sluggish. His offer of assistance to help push the wheeled stretcher was rebuffed.

His words: “At the end of the day I was just pleading, petting and begging and they were able to move the young man in a stretcher to the theater door. Then an argument ensued between them. Friends and my brother who came along with me wanted to shout but I pleaded with them to calm down so that the matter would not get worse. From what I observed, they don’t really care about people, whether they make it or not. After all, they did not cause the accident and, therefore, not interested in whether the person lives or dies. That is the impression people have about the hospital.”

All through the duration of the surgery that lasted for four hours, Okoye waited anxiously. When it was completed, Okocha was wheeled into the male special ward.

“I don’t want to mention how many people that gave up as I was waiting on the same night as I was at the emergency unit. I don’t want to talk about an accident victim brought in there and was not treated because those who brought him could not pay N500 for him. And I had to pay for him. I am not talking about another accident victim who was brought in that night and what a nurse could only say was, ‘Imagine the kind of alcohol smell that is coming from his mouth, look at what he has done to himself,’ while the guy was bleeding profusely,” Okoye said.

Even after the surgery had been done, it was as if the devil was still determined to harvest the actor. More trouble came his way after he returned to the hospital to have the external stitches removed. What happened immediately after the stitches were removed was shocking, as Okocha further narrated.

His words: “He was just sitting down and all of a sudden we heard a noise like a balloon burst. Behold, everything in Okocha’s stomach came out. You know it was a major operation.

“Nurses rushed over, looked at him and ran away. Anybody who looked at his dangling intestines could not behold the sight. It was a gory sight. But Okocha was courageous enough to hold his intestines from dropping on the ground and he turned his face away from his hands so that he would not faint at the sight of his own intestines coming out.

“After about 25 minutes the so-called surgeon came in again. He went back to start all over and Charles began to go through the pains he had a few days ago. It was an annoying thing. When they came to the ward they said openly that they were supposed to have used nylon three for the stitching but what was available was nylon one and they had to use what they had at least to save his life that day. Why I am angry is that they could have told us to rally round and get the right material and any other thing they needed. Any drug given to a patient at the teaching hospital is paid for before it can be administered.

“Is it not a reasonable step that they should have sent us to get the right stitching material, that is, nylon three, to avoid the bursting? They were bold to tell us why the stomach burst. That is the reason I’m mad. I have never seen a thing like that before. And we heard that the nylon is only sold for N700.00.

“I know that I’m nobody, just a young man who is trying to survive. But I have contacts through my business as an event planner. I have been sending text messages to important people I know, pleading with them to get the federal government to conduct investigation into the way the teaching hospitals operate. This thing must be investigated. People are undergoing bad moments in some of these government-owned hospitals.”

Sunday Sun reporter met with the Chairman, Medical and Advisory Committee, NAUTH, Nnewi, Dr Evaristus Ede Afiadigwe, who stood in for the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Professor Anthony Igwegbe, and he dismissed the claims of Mr Okoye even though he admitted that there was an incident of a burst stomach involving the Nollywood actor, Okocha. He said there was no negligence in the treatment of Okocha. He noted that the bursting of a stomach was a medical experience that could occur any time.

His words: “I heard about the eruption, stomach burst. The doctor wanted to use Nylon 2 Defilon but what was available was Nylon 1. It is not possible that everything you need, the number and quality will be available at every given time. And you know that was on a Sunday. But the Nylon 1 is used and one still gets a perfect result. I don’t know why this should be made an issue. I investigated the incident by myself and discovered that there was no negligence. The Nylon 1 and Nylon 2 are of high quality not even the 3 you are talking about. Life and death are actually in the hands of God. We did everything humanly possible to save Charles Okocha’s life. And this is what one should be grateful for instead of painting the hospital black.

“We do conduct audit on how our doctors and nurses work and we have a disciplinary committee, which handles erring medical personnel. There is no negligence in this matter. Some doctors even use Nylon 1 ordinarily. It is just that the doctor said he wanted to use Nylon 2. Nylon 2 was available in the hospital but it wasn’t available at the time the doctor was doing the surgery. There was a repeat surgery and it was successful,” Afiadigwe said.

He later took the reporter to the theatre where he showed him the Nylon 1 and 2, still arguing that either of them could be used in the absence of the other. He also took him to the male ward to see Okocha whom, he said, would soon be discharged, even though Okocha could not react to questions put him as he was still in pains.

I Am Not Bothered That I Have Been Replaced In The Music Industry – Tiwa Savage

TiwaSavage

Mavin first lady, Tiwa Savage, has made a comeback to the music industry, following her one year leave to have and cater for her son, Jamil.

The singer, recently sat down for an interview with TVCconnect where she talked about a lot of things to include her son and career.

When asked about how she felt when it became clear she had been replaced as the queen bee in the music industry while on maternity leave, she replied:

“I don’t think I was really bothered. I know how entertainment is and sometimes you need that kind of news so I didn’t take it personally and I wasn’t really moved by it because when you’re having a baby that’s one of the biggest joys that you can ever ever imagine.”

Tiwa, also talked about her comeback, stating her number one priority.

“My priority was just to make sure that I was healthy and that my baby was healthy and that we had a safe delivery. So at that time I was taking time away from music and I knew I had to take time off but my focus was really my baby…and I had worked while I was pregnant. I had recorded my album so I also knew that I had something when I was going to come back and I was going straight back into work. I also believed in the grace of God over my life and I guess that helped me.”

Tiwa Savage, recently dropped her album titled R.E.D, which received a 2.5 point grade form our team.
