Rodney Billz who is professionally known as DJ Lotto Billz has two addictions in life; acting and disc jokey.

He has featured in series of Ghanaian movies and his recent movie production work was in Twisted Tips which was aired on Viasat 1 every Saturday at 4:30pm.

Dj Lotto Billz as most people call him started his DJ profession since childhood. With his hard-work, dedication, commitment and passion for the work, he got the chance to work with some musicians during his up and coming days.

DJ Lotto who simply defines the meaning of LOTTO as Lot Of Time To Offer is currently the official DJ for Ghana’s king of high life music, Bisa Kdei, under the record label; Black Legendary Music (BLMC).

In a short interview with him, Rodney Billz talked about why he chose to work with Bisa Kdei, their relationship, his brand and plans with the Ghana DJ Awards..

His words below..

As most of the musicians know, DJ Lotto is a hardworking guy and as a result to that, i only associate myself to people who have the same commitment to their work like i do. I got a lot of offers during my up and coming days but i declined most of them and accepted working with Bisa Kdei years ago because i saw that spirit of determination in him. Tho he wasnt there yet, i knew a time will come where he will be on everyone’s lips so i deemed it a pleasure working with someone like him and now i need not to tell you we made it hahaha. He laughed.

Truth is, my number one addiction is being a DJ and i wouldnt like to work with just any musician, especially not with those who will be playing with my passion. You see, there are some musicians who aren’t serious even with their music career so, if i choose to put my future in the hands of someone like that, then am causing a serious damage to myself and thats why i had to be picky on who i will play for.

My relationship with Bisa Kdei is everything apart from girlfriend hahaha. Bisa Kdei is a brother, a friend, a leader and someone who will always right you when you are going wrong. This has helped matured me and improved on my working relationship with him, others and the world as a whole.

In our camp Black Legendary Music, we are more like a family and because of that good relationship we have for each other, we laugh a lot but one thing people dont know is, we work even more harder at the end of the day.

Talking about his brand, he said – So far so good, Dj Loto Billz is not just a dj but one who is associated with a brand. In other words, DJ Loto Billz is a brand.

When asked if he has any interest in the upcoming Ghana DJ Awards, he answered by saying..

I will by all means participate in this year’s edition. Most at times, i trash invites from certain award organizers because i felt i wasnt there yet but now i can say without fear that, i am ready for that challenge and i am starting with the upcoming Ghana DJ Awards.
