See The Born Again Ghanaian Celebrities

Due to the many misconceptions associated with the industry due to drug use, alcohol, fornication and other vices, it’s not much of a big deal when one becomes born again but it is when a celebrity or showbiz personality decides to take the cross and follow Jesus.

These Ghanaian celebrities decided to change their lives and follow Christ after being in the industry and gaining fame. Some are now preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Lord Kenya

He was the Sarkodie in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. He was the rap heavyweight champion and he churned out hits after hits. He ruled the rap scene until he decided to turn a new leaf in 2009 to follow Christ. According to him, he was a serious alcoholic and drug addict and got saved by God to do his work. He’s been spreading the word of God since. He’s now known as Evangelist Lord Kenya

Ofori Amponsah

He burst unto the music scene on the back of his mentor, Daddy Lumba and made the terrain his home. Ofori released hits after hits and was the Highlife king at the time. However, in 2012, he announced that he has become a born again christian. He went further to establish his own church and became known as Pastor Ofori Amponsah. However, Ofori has made a come back to secular music. He still says he’s born again so we can’t challenge him.

Papa Shee

Known privately as Nana Yaw Akosah, he was a Highlife singer back in the days. Talk of s*x laced songs and he was the king. His songs always generated controversy but he always gave some silly explanation as to the real meaning of them. In 2013, news got out that Papa Shee had picked up the cross of Jesus. He said he got the calling whiles praying with his brother in the bush somewhere in the United States. He is now an Evangelist propagating the word of God by counselling and prayers through “The Lords Tower Prayer line”.

Yaw Siki

He was supposed to be the new king of rap after his smash hit single, “Wop3 Dodo”. However an accident he had in 2013 on the Accra-Tema motorway changed his life completely. The accident which nearly claimed his life, is what made him accept Christ. He now lives preaching the word of God and takes care of himself with the small money he makes from his daily evangelism. He recently turned down an offer of assistance from worship leader, Sonnie Badu.

Antwi Korkorr

David Kwasi Anwti is his name and he was a member of the hiplife group, Antwi Ne Antwi. He however abandoned the group in 2008 when he said he’s had a calling to preach the word of God. Antwi K)k)) as he was known has been preaching the word since.

The handsome actor who recently tied the knot with his sweetheart is known for his romantic roles in movies. In 2013 he revealed that he’s changed his ways and was going to follow God. According to him, he got the calling 6 years earlier but didn’t give it a thought until he miraculously prayed to heal his little sister who was suffering from convulsion. God has since used him to do many wonderful things.

Akoo Nana

He is one controversial musician. He’s performed several times with n***d girls and got a lot of back lash from the public. Somewhere last year, pictures of Akoo Nana in a church on his knees being prayed for, became the topic for discussion. It was later revealed that the Ghanaian artiste has given his life to Christ. He’s been preaching in commercial buses and spreading the word since then.

Azigiza Jnr.

He was a radio presenter, Disk Jockey and rapper until he gave his life to God in 1998. According to him, he began paying serious attention to God at a time when he was losing some of his few business contracts. He has since been preaching the word of God and is known as Pastor Azigiza jnr.

Nii Soul

He started off as a secular artiste and competed in various singing competitions as such. He released several songs until he had an encounter with Pastor T.B. Joshua which changed his life. He is now a gospel artiste and born again christian. According to him, he was on the verge of joining Freemasonry had he not encountered God.
