The 2016 edition of the Paragliding festival staged on the Odweanoma Mountain in Kwahu in the Eastern Region has kicked off in grand style.
The event which was held at the auspices of the Tourism aims at promoting paragliding as a sport in Ghana.
Several tourists and Ghanaians alike came to partake inthe festival which is in its 11th year.
The paragliding festival commenced in 2005 after then Tourism Minister, the late Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and his then deputy, the *** took a decision to introduce the sports as part of the annual Easter celebrations.
Since then, the event has become a major part of the celebration marking the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
