Yvonne Nelson Set To Broadcast Her First TV Series

Yvonne Nelson.

Ghanaian actress and producer, Yvonne Nelson is set to venture into the area of television production with her first TV series set to hit our screens very soon.

The project which has a 90% cast of new faces, will center around the youth. Yvonne has meanwhile decided to keep the title of the series to her chest until launch day.

Speaking in an interview with the Graphic Showbiz, Yvonne explained that whiles shooting her movie, “If Tomorrow Never Comes”, a young person of about 19-years approached her and suggested to her that her next production should be around young people and that’s what inspired her new project.

According to Yvonne, the concept for the production is her own but the story was written by Richie and she is the executive producer, meaning, she funded the whole production.

“WHEN I WAS SHOOTING IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES, A YOUNG PERSON OF ABOUT 19 YEARS APPROACHED ME AND SUGGESTED THAT MY NEXT PROJECT HAS TO BE AROUND YOUNG PEOPLE, I GAVE IT A THOUGHT AND HERE WE ARE WITH THIS PROJECT.

THE WRITER IS RICHIE WHO GAVE THE STORY A BODY BUT THE CONCEPT IS FROM ME, IT IS SOMETHING THAT WILL APPEAL TO THE YOUTH.

IT WAS VERY CHALLENGING FOR ME. I ALWAYS WANT TO CHALLENGE MYSELF AND IT INVOLVED A LOT OF MONEY WHICH I SINGLE-HANDEDLY HAD TO FUND,” SHE SAID

On what viewers should expect when the series hits the screen, Yvonne indicated that they should expect excitement which will keep them glued to their televisions.

“IT IS GOING TO BE VERY EXCITING, PEOPLE WILL BE GLUED TO THEIR SETS. IT IS ALSO GOING TO BE ON DSTV SO THAT PEOPLE OUTSIDE GHANA CAN ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WATCH IT. THE PICTURES ARE REALLY GOOD, GHANAIANS SHOULD BE PATIENT AND WATCH OUT FOR IT.”
